As most of you know, Richmond got 14 inches of snow last night. Not only that, but today is the first official day of winter break for the school systems. As great as this is, I want to take a second to remember Richmond as it was just over a month ago, in the midst of fall. In my opinion, Richmond is one of the most beautiful places on Earth during autumn and I don't think many RVA natives actually appreciate that. I've seen falls in New York, New Haven, Chicago, and a few other cities up and down the east coast, but none of them have anything on us. Richmond, year after year, never stops surprising me with it's subtle, but overwhelming beauty. These are a couple photos I took while eating lunch on the top of the Lee Monument in late October.
